SCOPE AND OBJECTIVES OF THE TRAINING
Introductory class & practical instructions.
Assessment/ Examination to STCW Code standard
Basic/ Advance introduction to Medical 1st aid – medical treatment
Use of equipment’s for resuscitation
Basic/ advanced causes of injury, illness & care of injured
Burns/ head & spine injury, shock, heat / cold emergency
Cardiac/ respiration/ Emergency/ Body saturation & function
Medical First Aid A trainee successfully completing this course will be able to demonstrate competency in the knowledge and skills required for persons designated to provide medical first aid, meeting the standards of competency set out in STCW Code Table A-VI/4-1 of the STCW Code.
